About The Hub Karen
The Hub Karen, a shopping center in Nairobi, Kenya, opened its doors on 4 February 2016. Nestled in the upscale Karen suburb, this mall has become a prominent fixture in the city, drawing over 55,000 visitors weekly.
The development of The Hub Karen unfolds in two phases, with the first phase featuring a 35,000-square-meter gross area, incorporating retail spaces, offices, a gym, a kids’ play area, medical facilities, and outdoor aerial activities.
At the heart of the mall lies a 2,000-square-meter piazza and a distinctive clock tower, serving as a central hub for diverse activities, including travel exhibitions. The mall boasts over 85 stores, with both international and local retailers finding a home here.
The Hub Karen proudly houses the first Carrefour Hypermarket in East Africa and the inaugural F&F branch in Africa. Additionally, Burger King made its Kenyan debut at The Hub in November 2016.
