Karen Njeri Nyamu, known as Karen Nyamu, is a prominent figure in Kenya, known for her roles as a politician, advocate, lawyer, and social media influencer. She was born on January 1, 1987, in Eastland Nairobi, she grew up in a devout Christian family in Nyeri County, Kenya.

In her early years, Nyamu received her education in Nyeri County at Kamakwa Primary School and later attended Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School for her secondary education. After completing high school, she pursued a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Nairobi, graduating in 2006.

In 2013, Nyamu made her political debut by running for the position of Member of the County Assembly (MCA) in Nairobi County, representing TNA (The National Alliance) and winning. As an MCA, she led the Nairobi County Assembly’s Committee on Education and Social Services, initiating projects to enhance educational institutions and social services.

In 2017, Karen Nyamu expanded her political career by contesting the position of Woman Representative for Nairobi County on the Jubilee Party ticket. Although she finished second.

Karen Nyamu also serves on the Board of Directors of the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company. Despite an unsuccessful attempt at being the Nairobi women representative in 2017, she took a pause in 2023 and was nominated as a senator in the Kenya Kwanza government.
