I love you in Swahili
There are two ways to say “I love you” in Swahili, each with slightly different nuances:
1. Ninakupenda: This is the more formal and literal translation of “I love you” in Swahili. This is the perfect phrase for expressing deep affection and commitment.
It’s pronounced nee-nah-koo-PEN-dah.
2. Nakupenda: This is a more casual version of saying “I love you” in Swahili. This phrase is ideal for everyday expressions of love and affection, especially with close friends or family.
It’s pronounced nah-koo-PEN-dah.
I love you Swahili messages (Nakupenda messages)
- Nilikupenda, nakupenda na nitakupenda milele! (I loved you; I love you and I will love you forever!)
- Nakutakia siku yenye furaha na upendo mwingi. Nakupenda. (I wish you a happy day and lots of love. I love you)
- Kwa neno moja tu ninakuambia kila kitu ninachohisi moyoni: NAKUPENDA. Ikiwa huniamini, Mwezi unaweza kukuhakikishia. (In just one word I tell you everything I feel in my heart: I LOVE YOU. If you don’t believe me, the Moon can reassure you.)
- Ninakuhakikishia kwamba ninakufikiria zaidi kuliko unavyofikiri, kwamba ninakukumbuka zaidi kuliko unavyofikiri na kwamba nakupenda zaidi kuliko ninavyokuonyesha. (I assure you that I think of you more than you think, that I miss you more than you think and that I love you more than I show you.)
- Siwezi kuficha kwamba ninakupenda kuliko nyota angani. Sitajaribu hata kuudanganya moyo wangu kwa kusema kwamba ninachohisi kwako sio upendo. (I can’t hide that I love you more than the stars in the sky. I will not even try to lie to my heart by saying that what I feel for you is not love.)
- Unapohisi upweke kwa siku hizo za mawingu na huzuni, nijulishe, na nitakuja nikuwe na wewe. Unapohitaji kusikia mtu akisema “Nakupenda”, nijulishe, na nitakuja na kukuambia wakati wowote. (When you feel lonely for those cloudy and sad days, let me know, and I will come to be with you. When you need to hear someone say “I love you”, let me know, and I will come and tell you anytime.)
