About Gusii Language

The Gusii language, also known as Ekegusii, is a Bantu language spoken in Kisii and Nyamira counties in Nyanza Kenya. Its primary hub is Kisii Town, situated between the Kavirondo Gulf of Lake Victoria and the Tanzanian border. Native speakers of Ekegusii, numbering around above 2 million people as of 2019, are predominantly from the Abagusii community.
